Insurance

Do I accept insurance?​

I am currently out-of-network with insurance companies. I can provide a Superbill (invoice for insurance) so that you can get reimbursed via your out-of-network benefits, if applicable. Individuals can get reimbursed up to 80% depending on their plan. 

I've also partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits.

Mentaya is perfect if you:

  • Have out of network benefits

  • Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance

  • Have submitted superbills but failed to get any reimbursement

  • Simply want to skip the hassle of paperwork!

Here's how it works:

  1. Sign up for Mentaya HERE

  2. I will enter your sessions into the platform once you let me know you've signed up.

  3. Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up.

  4. You get reimbursed by insurance!

 

Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies.

It's risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.


Note: Mentaya's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as your therapist I do not benefit in any way from your participation.

Will it be worth the investment?

YOU are worth the investment, but you need to BELIEVE it.  Think about all the ways you may nurture your physical well-being...

How can I afford services without insurance?

  • Using your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA): These pre-tax accounts can be used to pay for various healthcare expenses, including therapy sessions.

  • Less Frequent Sessions: If committing to weekly sessions is financially challenging, you can opt for scheduling sessions every other week, mini sessions, and eventually monthly sessions to make it more manageable.

  • Submitting Superbills: Request and submit monthly Superbills to your insurance provider or use Mentaya for reimbursement of out-of-network therapy benefits.

You won't need therapy forever!

I believe that doing me best work means helping you reach a point where you won't need my assistance anymore, and that's a good thing!
 
In therapy, my goal is to empower you to heal and make progress on your own. To fully invest in your well-being, I choose to operate without the constraints of medical billing codes, insurance credentials, and excessive paperwork. Without insurance companies dictating the terms of our sessions, I have the freedom and flexibility to meet you exactly where you are and provide the support you need to achieve your goals.

By limiting our involvement with insurance companies, I can ​be in sync with you and work together in a way that suits your needs, no matter where, when, or for how long you require our assistance.

Remember, my ultimate aim is to help you thrive independently. You won't need me forever, and that's something we celebrate!

30 minutes

Clinical psychotherapy for children, parents and individual adults

  • Have limited budgets or financial considerations.
